Dolly, lolita and casual

Hi! Long time no post. :) I've been on vacations for 10 days now, and I've been doing my best to relax. Spending time with friends, playing a lot of Final Fantasy Tactics and some Doctor Who Legacy, watching some anime (such as Dangan Ronpa since I love the game, and Kamigami no Asobi because of reasons), musicals and tv shows, rewatching Xena season 1 and even some episodes of Buffy. I've rewatched the whole thing three years ago and still remember a lot of them, so I don't feel like rewatching everything, but I've been feeling nostalgic about it.

Strangely (for me!), I haven't been reading much aside from the online course I'm taking on Literature of the English Country House. I have to start Battle Royale, which was a fantastic birthday gift from Meh, and one that I'd been wanting for quite a while - but I also have to start Kafka on the Shore, written by one of my favourite authors ever, Murakami. This book is Meh's and I have to give it back at some point, so I guess it should come first...?

There was a Game of Thrones special night at a game house a little while back. I was still pretty sick with laryngopharyngitis, but decided for a night out playing silly things and getting my hair done in braids by staff at the place. I wore this:

Dress: I Do Declare
Tote bag: QPOT
Hair pin: Le Carrousel
Apple necklace and ring: Moss Märchen
Belt: Vintage
Cameo ring: Hand made
Crown earrings and camisole: Offbrand
Boots: Antaina

Getting it done. So much hair and zero lipstick after eating. :O

Braids picture and me holding my hairclip. It looks evil. Both pictures were taken by Roberto on his cell-phone, thanks! :) All in all it was a fun night, but I was feeling quite crappy for the first few hours and probably not the best of people to be around.

Last weekend we finally had a meeting at one of the cutest cafés in this city, Tous le Bon. I've posted pictures of stuff I've eaten there on instagram and here (last post!), but not of the place itself. Let's change that today. :D I don't have many pictures because I forgot to recharge the batteries for the camera, but it's a start.

You can see our table, and Cris, in the background.

Pretty mirror frames!

This swing is the best thing ever for pictures. So cute!

Me, on the other hand... :X Lets move on to the rundown:

Shirt: Dear Celine
Skirt: Innocent World
Dot lace tights: ebay
Shoes: Mod Cloth
Headpiece: Violet Lunchell
Necklace: H.p. Leão
Earrings: Imaginarium
Rings: All off-brand
Pearl bracelet: Endossa
Crown bracelet: le café
Pin: le café

More normal.

Details. Nails that match my necklace and silver accessories with fake pearls.

And the usual close-up. My eyelashes look crooked here, but I promise it's the angle. They're from Diamond Lash and were a gift from Bia. My lenses are the Princess Mimi Bambi Apple Green. The headpiece was a handmade gift from Violet, my friend from Argentina!

What I ate. Last post I posted the white chocolate version, but I had already eaten half of it. Hah. Delicious!

I slept at my friends' house that night, and we watched some of the 90s X-Men cartoon, Dr. Horrible for the billionth time and Penny Dreadful. The next day we went to a vegan June Festival celebration with a bunch of friends. I was too distracted by the non-wintery heat, the crazy ammount of people and the food (I had a veggie hotdog, sushi and grapes covered with chocolate) to take pictures. This is the only one I have of what I wore, a pretty casual outfit. Some of you might have seen this picture already, as it's on my freshly-made instagram. Instagram is... okay, but I still prefer Snapeee. Oh well.

Loliday (mid-2014)

The first Loliday of the year was celebrated a day late this time. Since I've been very, very, very sick (laryngopharyngitis) and most other girls couldn't meet on Saturday, I planned it for Sunday instead. I was hoping to be feeling better - and indeed, I didn't have a fever on that day. Going out might not have been a great idea, though, since today I feel absolutely horrid. Oh well.

Blouse: Renner
Skirt: Innocent Worls
Tights: LUPO
Shoes: ebay
Bag: Vintage market in Montevideo
Head accessory: My Subarashii Loli Sales
Necklace: What Alice Found
Cameo ring: Antix
Key ring and rose ring: le café
Pink ring: ali express
Pearl bracelet: Endossa
Charm bracelet: le café
Earrings: Endossa
Paper butterflies: etsy

We went to Amor aos Pedaços, a fairly expensive café that specializes in pies - or at least what's called a pie in Brazil. Pretty sure they're cakes, though. It's very cute-looking and opens on Sundays, so it was nice despite the prices. We finished off at a restaurant later in the evening. It was a very tiny meeting - the four of us in the photo, and Rob, who took the picture. It was fun, though!

More close-up and accessories' pics:

Extra! Nutella and strawberry crepe with a side of ice-cream I obviously couldn't eat:

And white chocolate, milk chocolate and berry cake I ate the other day. It was so good I only remembered to take the picture halfway through:

Mists of Venice and Maleficent

I watched Maleficent with a few friends last Saturday (three girls in lolita, one guy). It was a busy day at the mall and there were dozens of people who wanted to take pictures with us. Now, this never ceases to surprise me - you're out shopping, see people dressed "strangely", walk out to them and ask for a picture? I would never. But as long as they were nice or polite or had cute kids who thought we were princesses, it was okay... a bunch of teenage boys calling us hot and wanting to take selfies with us? Not so much. A rude woman telling us to stay still because she's going to take out photo without even asking? Nope.

Blouse: Algonquins
Black top: C&A
Skirt: Lady Sloth
Bag: ebay
Tights: ebay
Shoes: ebay again
Bow: Algonquins
Necklace and black bracelet: Closet Child
Rose rings: Local stores
Lace bracelet: ebay
Wig: Lemail

I was pretty happy with this wig this time around. The other time I wore it I wasn't satisfied with my coordinate and I think I blamed it on the poor wig, but alas, it's okay after all.

I liked Maleficent, in general, but I didn't love it or anything. I thought some of it was really watered down, the characters lacked development - especially King Stefan and the three fairies - and Maleficent's mood swings and changes from good to "evil" (because she's never really evil, somehow, just misunderstood) weren't well done. I'm sure the director's cut, if we ever get it, will be much better with all the dropped background and extra scenes. I also agree with a lot of what was posted here. have you watched it yet? Did you like it?
